**CONTEST CLOSED**

The staff at the British Film Institute have provided BrontëBlog with two pairs of tickets for the Jane Eyre screening that will take place on September 16 in London (venue details here). The first two episodes of this new mini-series will be shown followed by a Q&A with:

Ruth Wilson, Susannah White, Diederick Santer and Sandy Welch. (We are told Francesca Annis, Pam Ferris, Georgie Henley and Tara Fitzgerald may be there as well).

This is a unique opportunity to "see the programme on one of the best screens in Europe in a world class venue, to be able to question the cast and director in an intimate environment about the challenges of committing such a well loved masterpiece to the screen and hear Ruth Wilson's thoughts on playing one of the great heroines of English literature."

To make it more fun we have decided to pick the winner among the people who answer correctly this extremely easy question:

When was Jane Eyre first published in England? (the year is enough)

Since BrontëBlog will be celebrating its first anniversary on September 10 we have decided that will be the deadline to submit answers. Said answers should be sent to our e-mail address which you can see on top of our sidebar (read out loud it would be bronteblog AT gmail DOT com). Winners will be announced on Monday September 11.

Remember if you can get to London and wish to see this unique event, then this is your chance! Just drop us a line with the answer.

BrontëBlog was also invited to the event but sadly because of the sky-high price of plane tickets at this short notice we have to stay put. Hopefully our winners will be kind enough to report what they saw and how they liked it :)

We wish to send a BIG, BIG thank you to the people at the BFI for their enormous kindness.
