Jane Eyre 2006 screening in London confirmed

According to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the screening of the first two episodes of the new production of Jane Eyre has been confirmed to them by the British Film Institute and will indeed take place on Saturday 16 September, at 5.50pm. Not only that:

Ruth Wilson, Toby Stephens and other cast members are booked to be on stage after the showing.

The information is not on the BFI website yet but here's the box office telephone number in case you'd like to try and get a ticket: 020 7928 3232.

Ooh, exciting! Anyone attending - you know where to find us for we'd love to hear reports on it!

EDIT: We have also received a confirmation from the BFI with the following information. Apparently this is what appears in the NFT (National Film Theatre) booklet:

Special TV Preview: Jane Eyre
Sat 16 Sept 5.50 NFT1

Charlotte Bronte's novel, with its shy heroine, dark and mysterious hero, remote house, awful secret, madness and betrayal, has fascinated ever since its publication, spawning many film and TV adaptations. This new version has excellent credentials: adapted by Sandy Welch (North and South, Our Mutual Friend) and directed by Susanna White (Love Again, Bleak House), the production was shot entirely on location in Derbyshire. The strong cast features newcomer Ruth Wilson as Jane Eyre and Toby Stephens as Rochester.
We shall be screening the first two hour-long parts (of four) of this new BBC version. The screening will be followed by an onstage Q&A with key members of the cast and production team.
BBC 2006 Dir Susanna White With Francesca Annis, Pam Ferris, Tara Fitzgerald, Georgie Henley
Programme total c150 mins.

They said this is all the information they have at present and they don't yet know which cast and crew will be attending.

More importantly, here's how and when to book tickets:

NFT members can book from 9 August; and non-members from 18 August. You can book online at www.bfi.org.uk/nft
