A dating app and a Wuthering Heights extravaganza

The New York Times features a dating app for bookish people: Readme.

Readme isn’t the first dating app for book lovers, but its release comes at a time when the fetish for literary culture and all things bookish has reached a fever pitch. Celebrities like Solange Knowles, Kaia Gerber and Dua Lipa herself have started virtual book clubs and libraries. Film adaptations of literary classics like “Wuthering Heights” and “The Odyssey” are some of the biggest talkers of the year. One New York City bookseller, McNally Jackson, hosts sexy singles events, while another sends its regulars out into the streets in branded caps that simply say “Books” on the front. (Gina Cherelus)

BBC highlighted one of the events that were part of last night's Culture Night in Belfast.

There was a "living jukebox" in Royal Avenue, a wrestling corner at Grand Central Station and Kate Bush fans got the chance to strut their stuff at nearby Saltwater Square for a "Wuthering Heights extravaganza".

Culture Night Belfast returned last year after a four-year hiatus

The Kitsch Sisters, who seek to empower women through "creativity, connection and community" hosted "Cathy's Call" which they described as a "flashmob, immersive dance".

"When people turn up, they must be wearing red, it is essential," Aoife McAteer told BBC Radio Ulster's the Ticket.

"You don't have to be a dancer, you don't have to have any rhythm, you don't have to come with a big group of people, just arrive.

"Arrive dressed in red, at seven o'clock [in the evening] and we have a choreographer there called Lauren, who is going to take everybody through the steps." (Ross McKee)
