An extraordinary event that was unfortunately cancelled last year will take place tomorrow, August 16, in Melbourne, Australia:

Sunday 16 August 2009 at 11:00 AM
Melbourne - Iwaki Auditorium ABC Southbank Centre
* BEETHOVEN Serenade in D, Op.25
* BEETHOVEN Symphony No.1 in C, Op.21 (arr. Hummel)
* MOZART Duo in B-flat major, K. 424 for violin and viola
Featuring
* Sarah Curro violin (in the picture)
* Andrew Macleod flute
* Sarah Morse cello
* Caroline Almonte keyboard
* Isabel Morse viola
In this unique chamber event, MSO musicians are joined by actor Helen Morse (first picture) for an experience evoking an evening in the Brontës family’s home on the Yorkshire moors. In a flight of historical imagination, you will be taken into the world of Jane Eyre’s creator, of her sister Emily, who created Wuthering Heights, and the other members of their family. Readings from the Brontës work will be interspersed with pieces from the their music room, including transcriptions of orchestral works for chamber ensemble
