Exciting news about the TV series -- lets hope they do a decent job of the WHOLE novel!

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to disappoint you but they have already said that Heathcliff will kill himself after Cathy dies, so it looks as if they will be leaving the whole second part of the novel out.
Still, if what they do is decent enough we won't complain much :)
No, the ITV has cast a Hareton, Cathy jnr and Linton Heathcliff so i think they are doing the second half. The original report got it wrong. Perhaps it is Maybury's film version where Heathcliff kills himself.
ReplyDeleteOops! You are absolutely right: they have been cast. Still the production was said earlier to have Heathcliff kill himself when Cathy dies, which is weird. However, they sometimes do confuse the two versions (I know I do too!)
