Projects and more projects...

On Wuthering Heights.

As we have informed previously there's an ITV project around to remake Wuthering Heights as a three-hour TV series. Damien Timmer produces and Peter Bowker is the writer. France 3 is also preparing another TV adaptation, in French, written by Aleksander Adabashyan. There was another feature film project by Ecosse Films, written by Olivia Hetreed that seems to have been shut down, because it doesn't appear anymore on the Ecosse website. And of course all of you probably remember those rumours last year of a possible Wuthering Heights with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.

And now we have another (different?) project. 20th Century Fox has commissioned a new script to Michael Hirst, as we can read in his CV at PFD. Michael Hirst is the writer of The Tudors, Elizabeth (and the upcoming sequel The Golden Age)...

But that's not all. The Brontës themselves are also the object of several projects. We have of course the upcoming film directed by Charles Sturridge and written by Angela Workman with Michelle Williams, Bryce Dallas Howard and Evan Rachel Wood and that rumour of a sort of sitcom around the Brontë sisters that supposedly is being written by Stewart Lee. And now, we read on Sean Cannon's CV at PFD:
Sean is currently working on a new play and an original screenplay based on the history of the Bronte family.
