After Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Agnes Grey or Villette, all of them rock bands, now it's the turn for The Brontës, no less. A band from Vitoria-Gasteiz, Euskadi, Spain.
At the end of 1995, the trio The Brontës was born. They won first prize in the national music competition "Imaginarock 1998" with their demo "First". They have given concerts all over the country both alone and sharing the stage with important national and international groups. With the release of "Moontime" (Astro, 1999), their debut album, the producer, Pablo Iglesias, knew exactly how to capture the personality of the band. Their second LP produced by Paco Loco, "Mary&Jim" (Astro, 2003), was the return of the Vitorian band to the current music scene and it showed how the band had developed and improved. In August 2005 they went into the studio to record their third album, "Ways to Nowhere", also produced by Paco Loco, which should see the light during 2007.
If you'd like to listen to their music, here is their MySpace. Additional information can be found on their website and on Astro Discos.
