The Brontë Parsonage Museum Blog publishes some pictures about last Sunday's Seventh Million Celebration. The day was quite succesful and just looking at the pictures you could have a glimpse of being there.

On the other hand, on the Wide Sargasso Sea imdb webpage we see an almost complete list of the cast. To the names already reported (in this and this post) we have too new ones: Fraser Ayres as Daniel and Lorraine Burroughs as Amelie.

The final cast is the following:

Katrine De Candole ... Annette
Rebecca Hall ... Antoinette
Victoria Hamilton ... Cora
Michael Maloney ... Mr. Mason
Poppy Rogers ... Young Antoinette
Nina Sosanya ... Christophine
Rafe Spall ... Edward
Fraser Ayres ... Daniel
Lorraine Burroughs ... Amelie

Finally, in Life Style reminds us once again, how sexy a Brontë book (especially Wuthering Heights it seems) could make you look and how useful could be to "pick up" girls/boys .

Picture Credits (for Lorraine Burroughs pic, C. Baker)

  1. WSS has managed to accumulate a whole cast list covertly!

There seems to be no love lost between fans of Jane Eyre and WSS; I love both and cannot wait for the respective productions.

By the way I love the heading for this entry!

  2. BrontëBlog it's divided on this matter. THe other half of BrontëBlog is very interested in Jean Rhys's treatment of Jane Eyre's backstory, whereas this other half regards it more coldly. So as you can see there is some love lost.

    Glad you liked the heading.
