We like to keep an eye on all things Brontë, thus not only news are of interest to us, but we also keep an eye on blogs, message boards, mailing lists, etc. Do you feel like taking a walk around with us? (We went walking once before already)

A fellow blogger who keeps a blog with a lovely name reviewed (on Book Day!) Branwell by Douglas A. Martin. We encourage you to read her great review. We'll highlight this for you:

My tendency to crane my neck past Branwell in order to long after Charlotte was, according to the novel, exactly what was wrong with Branwell to begin with.

More reviews. Robin reviews The Brontë Project on her blog. Her conclusion? "Overall enjoyable, but nothing too spectacular."

And even more reviews! Rosepixie keeps a book journal and posts in it as she reads Agnes Grey. Careful if you haven't read the book since it's explicitly discussed!

Noli Irritare Leones draws an interesting comparison between Heathcliff and Mr Darcy. Though it hurt us to hear that the writer of this never loved Mr Rochester. Shocking.

The Places You Will Go gives us a priceless subject of "Oprah Winfrey as Charlotte Bronte". Read her post if you want to know where that came from. Really funny.

Meanwhile, Stephanie writes about her one-day trip to Haworth.

Another Stephanie wrote to let us know about her original group: Knit the Classics. This is how Stephanie described it to us:

Our group has nearly two hundred members all over the world. What we do is choose a classic novel for the month which we read and discuss. We also craft a project inspired by the reading (the group's major focus is knitting but we have some other crafters, crocheters, sewing etc). Each person chooses their own project, allowing the novel to inspire their own unique creation.

And this is why some BrontëBlog readers might be interested in joining in:

The reason I mention this to you is because we will be reading, discussing and crafting Wuthering Heights in June. I thought maybe your blog readers might want to follow our progress. :)

We will, Stephanie! In June we will keep an eye on your site to see what so many creative people can come up with inspired by a novel like Wuthering Heights. Sounds very interesting! So if anyone is interested in joining them just visit their blog and read the instructions.

And finally just a reminder that both Mysticgypsy and Brontëana update their blogs daily and both of them have much to say about the Brontës and everything Brontë-related.
