Australian newspaper The Age goes on with the trend recently set by other newspapers to mix the Brontës and politics. According to them Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown and Heathcliff are practically twins:

There is something of the Heathcliff about him. He sulks, scowls, glowers and throws spectacular tantrums. He would have made a wonderful, thunderful hellfire preacher.
