Since Joan Rivers thought Charlotte Brontë had written Wuthering Heights the Daily Mirror took it into their own hands to put the balance to rights and announce to the world that Jane Eyre was written by Emily Brontë.

Fortunately though they now stand corrected:

JANE Eyre was written by Charlotte Bronte, not Emily Bronte (We Love Telly, Page 31, October 8). THE Daily Mirror tries to correct errors and clear up confusion as soon as possible.

It has taken them nearly a week to see reason! What's the world coming to?

  1. I think Joan Rivers knows more about plastic surgery than anything else..... LOL about the Daily Mirror, quite difficult to keep these siblings apart - some even claim Branwell wrote Wuthering Heights!! ;-)

  3. A friend reported an interesting letter to an entertainment column asking to know what the name of that film was about "Mr.Rothchild" and his crazy wife, based on a novel by Jane Austen ;)
