A couple of alerts for today, August 20, both at the Brontë Parsonage Museum and at the Brontë Birthplace:
Thurs 20 Aug, 12:30 - 3pm
Brontë Event Space in the Old School Room, Haworth

When the Brontë children were growing up they didn’t have much to entertain them, but what did they do when they had some spare time? We know they loved to sketch, and aunt Branwell made sure the girls spent a lot of time sewing - they became very good at cross stitch! It was also when they were children that they began to write, creating their amazing tiny books. Join us every Thursday in the summer holidays to try your hand at a Brontë pastime!
Brontë Birthplace, Thornton

Go behind the scenes and discover some of the fascinating artefacts uncovered during the restoration of the Brontë Birthplace. From everyday objects to hidden treasures, these remarkable discoveries reveal new stories about the house and the people who lived here over the centuries.
Led by Anna and Millie, this intimate handling session offers a rare opportunity to examine these objects up close, hear the stories behind them and ask questions. Your ticket also includes self-guided admission to the Birthplace.
