British Theatre Guide reminds us of the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre's production of Jane Eyre: 

 It followed this up with an adaptation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights by Andrew Sheridan that brought gritty, modern dialogue to the Yorkshire moors in the nineteenth century, but which largely worked well, accompanied by live musicians playing Alexandra Faye Braithwaite's atmospheric, folky score.
