A new production of Polly Teale's opens today, April 29 in Leicester:
Jane EyreAdapted from Charlotte Brontë’s novel by Polly Teale
Directed by Jo Jones
29 April - 4 May 2019 @ 7.30pm
Matinee 2.30pm
The Little Theatre, Leicester

As a child, the orphaned Jane Eyre is taught by her severe guardians to stifle her natural exuberance. A part of herself is locked away, out of view of polite society – until she arrives at Mr Rochester’s house as a governess to his young child. Soon Rochester’s passionate nature reawakens Jane’s hidden self; but darker secrets are stirring in the attic…

Written for Shared Experience Theatre Company, Polly Teale’s bold and theatrically inventive adaptation of Brontë’s literary classic puts the interior life of the novel on stage.
