On September 24th, 1848, Branwell Brontë died in his home surrounded by his father and sisters.

In the course of these 163 years, he's been portrayed in widely varying ways, more often than not on the 'naughty' side, though. One of his most recent portrayals is the one to be currently seen on stage, in Blake Morrison's We Are Three Sisters.

For those BrontëBlog readers who have seen and liked the play - which is indeed collecting superb reviews - and for those who haven't seen it but would love to know what it's like, at least on paper, we have a great offer courtesy of Nick Hern Books:
20% discount and free postage and packaging (RRP £9.99) for UK customers, and £2/3 for European/ROW customers,
if you quote "bronteblog" in the comments field at checkout on our website, by cliking on the title's landing page here:

The offer will expire at the end of the current UK tour of the Northern Broadsides production, that is November 26.
