Cary Fukunaga's Jane Eyre is the film chosen to open the 46th edition of the prestigious Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (Czech Republic).

The second film from Cary Fukunaga (Sin nombre), one of the biggest talents of contemporary film, is an adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s renowned novel of a young woman looking for love despite her difficult lot in life and the malice of those around her. Excellent acting performances from Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, and Dame Judi Dench.
The Hollywood Reporter adds:
Dame Judi Dench, who will receive Karlovy Vary's Crystal Globe honor for Outstanding Contributions to World Cinema, will be on hand to present Jane Eyre, in which she stars alongside Mia Wasikowska, Jamie Bell, Holliday Granger and Sally Hawkins. (Scott Roxborough)
The same day, Jane Eyre 2011 is also being presented at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) in the Films of the Third Kind section:
