The Jane Eyre Movie Facebook page quotes Cary Fukunaga on his directorial approach:
Both Adriano (Cinematographer) and I both like improvisation much more than storyboarding everything and over-planning. There was a moment in the first week of shooting Jane Eyre, where we were running out of time – so we just said, ‘Let’s shoot this handheld.’ It looked great; it’s a beautiful scene.
And as it is March already, a few movie websites include the film among this month's recommendations.

IndieWire:
3. Jane Eyre (March 11)
What’s The Deal? Cary Fukunaga follows up “Sin Nombre” with an adaptation of Charlotte Brontë‘s classic novel “Jane Eyre,” assembling an impressive cast including Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell and Judi Dench.
Who’s Already Seen It? No one yet, but check back with the film’s criticWIRE page in the coming weeks.
Why is it a “Must See”? Well, we don’t actually know for sure if it is or not. But Fukunaga impressed iW once before, the source material is clearly worthy, and that cast is downright swoon-worthy. Why it didn’t screen at Sundance or Berlin is perhaps a cause for concern, or perhaps not.. We’ll find out soon enough. (Peter Knegt)
The FilmStage:
1. Jane Eyre (Cary Fukunaga; March 11th)
Synopsis: A mousy governess who softens the heart of her employer soon discovers that he’s hiding a terrible secret.
Why You Should See It: Sin Nombre, Cary Fukunaga‘s directorial debut, was one of my favorite films in 2009. The director returns to different territory adapting this classic tale. With a bigger budget and some of the most promising up-and-coming stars (notably Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska), this is one of my most-anticipated of the year. (Jordan Raup)
Movie Muse:
5. Jane Eyre (Mar. 11 – Limited) Directed by Cary Fukunaga
Written by Moira Buffini, Charlotte Brontë (novel)
Starring: Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell, Judy Dench
The Word: You probably can’t count the number of film/mini-series adaptations of Charlotte Brontë’s literary classic on two hands; that’s probably as good a reason as any to make another one. Only the second feature film for Fukunaga (“Sin Nombre”), he gets a slew of veteran and budding talents for this adaptation from the writer of Britain’s “Tamara Drewe.”
My Thoughts: This version is no attempt to squeeze dollars out of an infamous novel given the limited release, the level of talent and the dark and creepy vibe of the trailer. I will have the awesome privilege of sneak preview of this film with Fukunaga and Wasikowska in attendance. Expect a review and some exclusive material next week! (Steven)
A couple of sites highlight two advanced screenings: HollywoodChicago has a reminder on the fact that the film will also be screened as part of the 14th European Union Film Festival at the Gene Siskel Film Center on March 6th with Mia Wasikowska in attendance. The Westport Patch also mentions the local screening as part of the Westport Youth Film Festival on March 10 with Cary Fukunaga in attendance and who will be taking part in a Q&A with the audience.

The Bristol Press (Connecticut) shares information about a local book club's plan for March 12th:
BOOK BITES: On March 12., the “Book Bites” book discussion group of Manross Library, will attend a showing of the film “Jane Eyre” at AMC Loew’s Cinema, 220 New Britain Ave., Plainville. The group will meet in Loew’s lobby and will attend a morning showing. Exact times TBA. The group will also meet for lunch after the movie at Imperial Buffet. Participants pay the cost of admission and lunch. For more information and exact times, visit the library or call (860) 584-7790.
Film Metro reports that there's a sold-out advanced screening tomorrow, March 3rd, in New York, in San Diego (also sold out) and in Washington DC (still available). Also tomorrow, in Seattle at the Seven Gables Theatre (7:00PM) there's another one. Free tickets here. EDGE Los Angeles organizes this other one in Los Angeles (March 10). Even more screenings here.

And, via Los Angeles Times, we find out that thos interested in the filming locations will be able to have a guide on them courtesy of VisitBritain:
Marking the March 11 opening of the new film adaptation of "Jane Eyre" from the novel by Charlotte Brontë, VisitBritain has created a free Jane Eyre/Brontë Country destination pocket guide. [...]
The VisitBritain guide, which contains suggested itineraries and tips on following in the footsteps of the Brontë sisters (Emily wrote "Wuthering Heights") and their famous characters, is available at selected Barnes & Noble bookstores or by mail through travelinfo@visitbritain.org. Or it can be downloaded online from VisitBritain’s special website.
Besides the downloadable brochure, the website also contains the movie trailer, starring Mia Wasikowska ("Alice in Wonderland") and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds), behind-the-scenes information about film locations, maps, hotel suggestions and a calendar of upcoming Bronte-themed events. (Susan James)
Here's the link to the downloadable brochure. Well worth taking a look at it.
