The blog of the film director Duncan Roy relays Hamish Bowles's opinion about Jane Eyre 2011:
Rather amusingly we discussed Cary Fukunaga’s Jane Eyre that he had just seen at a private screening for Anna Wintour. You’ll remember that I met Cary this summer in Whitstable with Mia. Hamish said that, although a bit slow, he loved the film and he cried all the way through. He reported that the costumes were perfect and historically accurate. He said that Mia’s performance was excellent.

  1. Damn, sure wish I'd known about the San Francisco screening MUCH earlier. Didn't see any mention of it elsewhere until I came here at 1am yesterday morning.
