Family Guy mentioned the Brontë sisters in a period... erm, joke. Nevertheless, we have to say, even if it sounds fastidious, that the sisters are not really in character:

    On a slightly similar note, this morning Disney replayed an episode of the cartoon "Phineas and Ferb" where "Jane Eyre" is mentioned three times. The title is "A Hard Day's Knight."
