The Green Bay Press Gazette mentions next April performances of Bernard Herrmann's Wuthering Heights opera in Minneapolis:
Oscar-winning [Eric] Simonson: "I'm keeping myself busy writing a couple of plays for Manhattan Theatre Works, and preparing to direct a couple operas — 'Rusalka' in Denver and 'Wuthering Heights' in Minneapolis.
But the big news here is that there may be a chance to see these performances even if you are not in Minneapolis. The Knight Foundation has given a grant to the Minnesota Opera Company
To record and distribute the Minnesota Opera's production of Bernard Herrmann's opera Wuthering Heights in movie theaters worldwide
Amount: $75,000.00
Grant Period: 10/01/2010 to 09/30/2011
The recording will be filmed in HD.

An article on Associated Content takes a look at the film previews shown recently at the cinema. The new Jane Eyre among them:
Jane Eyre - This remake will be released in Spring 2011. In this latest version of Charlotte Brontë's classic novel, we will see Mia Wosikowska [sic] as the older Jane. She recently had a starring role in the movie success The Kids Are Alright. Since I have never read the book, I am tempted to do so before seeing this updated version. (Mary Carol Herwood)
The Sunday Times talks about some of the Irish broadcaster Tom Dunne's new musical 'discoveries' :
Meanwhile, Beach House joins a long list of Dunne “discoveries” on the iPod, alongside Modest Mouse and Albert Niland’s wonderful version of Wuthering Heights.
This St Cloud Times journalist's new year resolutions include some Brontës:
From the Gothic “Wuthering Heights” to the adventurous “Call of the Wild,” my goal is to read more this year than I have in my whole life. Go classics! (Barbara Banaian)
Dear Author was a bit confused by Wuthering Heights; Amman lukuhetki (in Finnish) reviews Jane Eyre, a book Hogwarts Professor continue blogging about; hurdy gurdy posts about Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights; Dhambizao posts a poem inspired by Jane Eyre.
