Nichola Burley joins Wuthering Heights cast

According to Deadline, Andrea Arnold's Wuthering Heights cast now includes Nichola Burley. Who's actually the 'third lead' in Wuthering Heights? It rather depends on the script. She may play either second-generation Cathy (first-generation Cathy is played by Kaya Scodelario) or Isabella Linton.

EXCLUSIVE: The Streetdance 3D actress is playing the third lead in Andrea Arnold’s version of the English classic. Burley wowed critics over here with her performance in the Streetdance movie. She was also the heroine-in-distress in low-budget Brit shocker Donkey Punch. Kaya Scodelario from UK teen TV series Skins is playing lead role Cathy Earnshaw. Still no word on who’s playing brooding hunk Heathcliff though. Ecosse Films is filming this Wuthering Heights on location in Yorkshire autumn. Financiers include Film4, UK Film Council, Screen Yorkshire and Goldcrest Films. Hanway is selling internationally. Arnold is rebooting Wuthering Heights as a Twilight story of forbidden teenage love to give the pic a new young audience. (Tim Adler)
