Let's Talk About It: Love & Forgiveness in the Presence of the Enemy
Contact: Thomas Crane Library 617-376-1316

Forgiveness is possible even in the presence of the enemy when they share their common humanity. Join other readers to explore the theme of love and forgiveness in everyday life through classic and contemporary literature in this five-part reading and discussion series.
This program will explore the classic novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. In early nineteenth-century England, an orphaned young woman accepts employment as a governess at Thornfield Hall, a country estate owned by the mysteriously remote Mr. Rochester.
Dr. Jeslyn Medoff, Adjunct Professor in English at UMass-Boston will lead the discussion each session. Dr. Medoff teaches literature and American studies to graduate and undergraduate students. She served as Project Scholar for the Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature series held in the fall of 2007.

Location: Main Library Community Meeting Room (ground floor)
