The Classical Comics website discloseds some artwork from their upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights (scheduled for May 2010). Adapted by Sean Michael Wilson and with artwork by John M. Burns (who also was the artist behind last year's Jane Eyre adaptation):
Wuthering Heights
Emily Brontë

"That minx, Catherine Linton, or Earnshaw, or however she was called - wicked little soul! She told me she had been walking the earth these twenty years: a just punishment for her mortal transgressions, I've no doubt!"

Emily Brontë's only novel is famous the world over - not least because of Kate Bush's 1978 "tribute song" - but don't let that trivialise this masterpiece of classical literature. Hardship, insanity, cruelty, frustrated love, and ghosts;
what more could you want from a book?

I am very pleased to see John's beautiful painted work and i hope the mix of his art and my script can come up with a good version of this story (which i preferable to a bad version). His JANE EYRE book for Classical didnt really feel quite right to me, so our WUTHERING HEIGHTS book will hopefully come out better. Jesus and buddha - im doing a book with John M Burns!
