Prods. Robert Bernstein, Douglas Rae; dir. Peter WebberHanWay Films publishes the right-hand promotional poster and only confirms the director's name. It describes the film as follows:
Emily Bronte's stormy 19th-century romance set on the Yorkshire moors is the story of doomed passion between untamed orphan Heathcliff (Michael Fassbender) and gentleman's daughter Cathy (Abbie Cornish). Starts in spring. (Adam Dawtrey)
No force of nature can match the destructive power of love. An orphan from the slums, the handsome, brooding Heathcliff finds true love with Cathy, the beautiful daughter of Yorkshire gentry. Cathy and Heathcliff are soul mates, the wild English moors provides the dramatic backdrop for their young passion. But after Cathy is forced to choose another man to marry, Heathcliff's devastating force is unleashed. An astonishing vision of perverted passion and passionate perversity.Transmission Films, the Australia and New Zealand distributor gives only the name of Abbie Cornish as attached to the film.
You might also take note on the IMDb message board for Bronte (the film) that there have been more changes made. Besides Mr Sturridge, more of the cast have been removed, as well as all of the crew, and Andrew Dunn's name is back on for Cinematographer.
