The doomed love affair between Heathcliff (Anderson Wells of Gwynn Oak) and Cathy (Brandi Sheppard of Columbia) comes to the CCBC Catonsville stage next week in a highly stylized original adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” by award-winning playwright and CCBC faculty member Carl Freundel.

Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12, 14 and 15 in the Q Theatre at CCBC Catonsville, 800 South Rolling Road. Additional performances will be given at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 and 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14. Tickets, which are $7 general admission; $5 seniors and $2 for students, CCBC faculty, staff and alumni, are available in advance from the CCBC Box Office at 410-780-6369 or at the door before each performance.

Told by housekeeper Nelly (Mia Battle Davis of Baltimore City) to the confused tenant Mr. Lockwood (Kean Black of Owings Mills), “Wuthering Heights” follows the unfortunate love affair as Cathy marries the rich but heartless Edgar Linton (Stanley Chervinsky of Reisterstown). This, in turn, spurs the heartbroken Heathcliff to take revenge by marrying Edgar’s younger sister Isabella (Kaleigh Jordan of Halethorpe).

The cast also features Bernie Noeller of Catonsville as the servant Joseph; Jason Steinberg of Owings Mills as Cathy’s brother Hindley; and featured vocalists Ricardo Hersey, Jr and Rebekah Czajkowski of Highlandtown.

Playwright Freundel directs the play and Jim Cabral handles the Musical direction. Set and lighting design are by William Hauserman.
2. And April de Angelis's Wuthering Heights adaptations leaves Edinburgh and is going to be performed at the Chichester Theatre Festival, Oaklands Park, Chichester, West Sussex, UK.
