The sordid story of Susanne Klatten as told by The Times includes an unexpected Brontë reference:
Sgarbi, now in a Munich jail, awaiting trial on extortion charges, is handsome in a take-him-home-to-meet-your-mother kind of way. Tall, slim, square-jawed, newly enamelled teeth, a slow blink. But not exactly Heathcliff. There is nothing wild, tousled or tortured about him. The son of a Swiss executive, he is a law graduate and a bank manager - and that is precisely how he looks. (Roger Boyes)
The movie adaptation of Twilight collects another review with a Wuthering Heights reference:
Oh, well then---in Weathering Heights [sic], when Cathy is on the Moors with Heathcliff declaring their passion for one another…must have bored you for its wordiness, otherwise, why in the Twilight's meadow scene, where Edward confronts the ease he can kill Bella--then confesses his love and holds her and Bella's reaction was an unimportant scene, evidently. (TwilighSaga Fanatic CB on Moviesonline.ca)
engadget announces the possible delay of the release of the Amazon Kindle 2 with a Brontë boutade:
Hard-copy of Wuthering Heights, your execution has been stayed another few months. (Laura June)
Los libros de mi vida discusses Wuthering Heights in Spanish and Bokladan (in Swedish), Bittergrace and Lots o'Buchs does the same with Jane Eyre.
