A couple of alerts from the Brontë country for the ensuing days:

Ann Dinsdale from the Bronte Society will be talking about the sisters (and brother) on August 7th at 6.30pm, as part of our regular series of writers events at the bookshop. The event is free.
Our walks in August will be from the lovely village of Haworth(correct spelling), situated at the edge of the Pennine moors in West Yorkshire, England, the area made famous by the Bronte sisters, known as Bronte country.
The coach will leave the back of Iceland at 8.00am on Saturday 9th August 2008. Pre-booking is essential through the Church office, but there are often spaces available in August for visitors (or for those unable to walk but wishing to visit with us).
There will be 3 parties;
A
'A' Party Walk:-
Walk Leader: Jenny Matthias
Distance:9 1/2 miles

B
Bronte Waterfalls and Wuthering Heights
Walk Leader: John Smith
Distance: 7 Miles with 5 Stiles

C
Party Walk:-
A Bronte Flavour
Walk Leader: Norman Jones
Distance: 51/2 Miles.
