Looking good to me. Tom has exceded my expectations. He looks like a brilliant Heathcliff. Charlotte looks like Cathy too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for this adaptation. I think it will outshine Maybury's film version.
They both look good indeed. Doesn't Charlotte Riley remind you ever so little of Merle Oberon?
ReplyDeleteYeah. I can see it. This looks to be shaping up to be a good adaptation. I'm still sceptical that Wuthering Heights can even be adapted well, though.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe we will ever have a definitive screen version of WH either. But let them keep on trying... and perhaps someday we can make the definitive one patch by patch from different versions :P
ReplyDeleteTom Payne used to be cute....What happened? Don't think the makeup / hair looks good on him. Burn Gormans in it too so maybe it won't be too disappointing :P. Will deffinately still be watching it!
ReplyDeleteErm... that's not Tom Payne. He is playing Linton Heathcliff. Heathcliff's son. Tom Hardy is playing Heathcliff. I think he looks great. Heathcliff isn't exactly supposed to be cute after all.
ReplyDeleteTom Hardy has a very interesting face, whenever you can see it through the fall of hair. I like his interpretation of the role, such a mix of wicked and pathetic. No doubt, Hardy's career in being boosted by producing another revised and modernized
ReplyDeletefilm of WH.
Is Charlotte Riley as Catherine cross-eyed?
Yes, Tom Hardy WAS brilliantly brooding but I found the cross eyed Cathy off putting and a bit comical at times!
