The Oldham Evening Chronicle celebrates the casting of Sarah Lancashire in the new Mammoth Screen production of Wuthering Heights now being filmed. The article also discloses that East Riddlesden Hall (in Keighley) is Thrushcross Grange. The 17th-century West Riding manor house was also used as location in Wuthering Heights 1992:

OLDHAM-born actress Sarah Lancashire is the major star in a new production of “Wuthering Heights”, being filmed in the Yorkshire Dales.
Sarah, who rose to fame as dippy barmaid Raquel in “Coronation Street” has been an ITV favourite for several years, and one of the network’s biggest stars.
Now, the 44-year-old actress and former Hulme Grammar School pupil is starring as the housekeeper Nelly Dean in Emily Bronte’s 1847 classic tale.
The adaptation is being filmed near Kettlewell, North Yorkshire. Riddlesden Hall, Keighley, will double as Thrushcross Grange, home of the Lintons.
The ITV drama will co-star newcomer Charlotte Riley as Cathy, and in this version a distraught Heathcliff (Tom Hardy) will kill himself on hearing of Cathy’s death.
The two-part production has been adapted by Blackpool writer Peter Bowker.

  1. Are you sure that was used for Thrushcross Grange? The windows look like the house that was used for Wuthering Heights in that film. It's sad i can actually recognise that.

  2. Quite right ! Thrushcross Grange was Skipton's Broughton Hall in the 1992 version.

    Many thanks for the correction!
