We are very happy and proud to announce that Sarah Barrett, a good friend and collaborator of BrontëBlog, is going to publish her first book. And a very Brontë-related one it is.
A Room of Their Own
80 Years of the Brontë Parsonage Museum 1928-2008
By Sarah Barrett

This is a book that celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Brontë Parsonage becoming a museum, to coincide with August 2008, the date of the anniversary being the 4th.

It features several never before seen photos of the museum, and a short history on each of the rooms. It also includes information on the garden and the cellar which are not normally included in such books. There is also information on the family members, their servants and visitors to the house.

The photos are from the Brontë Parsonage Museum archives, in black and white. The front and back cover are in colour.

It features an up to date chronology and bibliography.

Price to be confirmed. Available late spring/early summer 2008.

The front cover is the photo you see of the Parsonage.
