Let's begin with a picture (well, actually lots of them) of the Indianapolis performances of Jane Eyre. The Musical that we presented a couple of days ago. Courtesy of Zach Rosing Productions.

The Independent reviews The Ballad of Dorothy Wordsworth by Frances Wilson and adds up to other previous reviews that highlight the Cathy/Heathcliff similarities with Dorothy/William:
Looking for a parallel in literature, Wilson lights on Cathy's description of her love for Heathcliff in Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. In her confusion about where she ends and Heathcliff begins, and in her famous assertion that "I am Heathcliff", is the same hunger for twinship that the Wordsworth siblings might have recognised. As Dorothy remarked, "Fraternal Love has been the building up of my being, the light of my path." (Mark Bostridge)
The Charlotte Observer reports the performance - in the National Performing Arts Festival - of pieces of the Jane Eyre production that recently took place at a local school:
Charlotte Christian School's audition-only drama troupes won several honors and awards in the National Performing Arts Festival last month in Orlando. The ACT 1 (upper school) production of "By Grace" was chosen as the showcase production and students performed their winning piece on a Disney Epcot stage. Other Epcot stage performances included seniors Danielle Gendron and Brooke Molitor for first place in duet singing with a piece from "Jane Eyre," and Jonathan White with a first in monologue with a Shakespearean piece from "As You Like It." (Jamie Sheats-Johnson & Steve Lyttle)
The FancyPants Factory describes a sleepless night with Jane Eyre. Regency Romance for Punk Kids selects a list of songs (from Belle & Sebastian until The Decemberists passing by Placebo, David Bowie...) for recreating a very particular vision of Wuthering Heights. A Chainless Soul talks about Polly Teale's Brontë.

  1. Thank you for the kind words! Brooke & I thoroughly enjoyed performing that duet ((we'd recently played the roles of Jane & Blanche on the CCS mainstage))
