Now that Mammoth Screen is preparing another Wuthering Heights adaptation for ITV, it reappears on DVD the latest Wuthering Heights adaptation: 1998's LWT production with Orla Brady and Robert Cavanah, directed by David Skynner (check the imdb for complete cast and crew). The DVD was first released in 2003 in the UK and in 2005 in the US (more information on this old post).

  1. In my opinion, one reason to watch this correct-yet-lacking-in-bite production is Matthew Macfadyen's Hareton Earnshaw (I wish he had a bigger role though).

  2. Most WH versions tend to lack in bite as you put it. It's a shame but it's true that the feelings that the novel conveys are not easily adapted on screen.
