A couple of days ago we posted about the arrival of the black Penguins to the Chinese market with upcoming releases of Mandarin translations of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

Today, September 1, among the events in the Beijing Bookworm Mini Literary Festival we have an alert related with the previously mentioned post:

Friday September 1st 12.30pm
'Penguin Classics Literary Lunches'

The first in a series of three Penguin Literary Lunches. Each day a notable local writer will share their thoughts on their favourite Penguin Classic text. Li Jia Zhang will begin with the story of how reading Jane Eyre helped her escape a dead-end job in a rocketfactory in Nanjing, and become a writer.

A Bronte-themed two course lunch and wine or soft drink included, 60RMB.

We wonder what could be a Brontë-themed two course lunch... if you are interested 60 yuan are more or less seven and a half dollars.
