A few days ago we reported the extension of Polly Teale's Jane Eyre play in the West End. Sadly, this extension has been shortened by a couple of weeks now, so be careful when and if you book your tickets. Jane Eyre will now be running at Trafalgar Studios in London until August 26.

And what's great - for us anyway - is that thanks to this extension we will be able to see this much posted-about play! Fortunately, this new shortening doesn't affect our plans.

If you'd like to see this play on the other side of the pond, we have just found out that it will be performed by the Acting Company in the forthcoming season 2006/2007. Judging by their itinerary it looks like the first show will take place in Flushing, NY, on January 20. It will then travel around the United States (check said itinerary for your closest venue) until it closes in New York on May 5.
