We have come across this interesting article about literary stamps where, of course, the Brontës are mentioned, since they have been made into stamps in several occasions.

England also has a love for all things literary, and the stamps to prove it. For the 150th anniversary of Charlotte Brontë's death last year, Royal Mail issued special Jane Eyre stamps in her honor. [...] Stamps were issued in the 1980's to honor female novelists Charlotte and Emily Brontë, George Eliot, and Elizabeth Gaskell.

We are so lucky as to have the Prestige Stamp Book and it is one of our most valued possessions :) Click here to find more about this stamp series. We have also taken a look at the ones released in 1980, but they aren't quite as nice. What they have forgotten to mention is that before that there was a series of stamps where Branwell's name was spelt Bramwell in several batches. Needless to say those stamps are now worth a small fortune!

We have also read an article centering on Simon Warner, a well-known landscape photographer who is the author of the pictures that will appear in Ann Dinsdale's The Brontës at Haworth, released on October 1, among many other Brontë-related books.
