According to Horncastle Today Belton House has been turned into Gateshead for Jane Eyre 2006.

Whilst the filming is taking place there will be some changes to the visitor route around the house. However, this presents a unique opportunity for visitors to explore areas of the property not usually open to the public including the basement, the servant's tunnel and the chapel.

According to the National Trust page on Belton House it has been previously used for productions such as Pride and Prejudice or Tom Jones.

Other National Trust properties including Dovedale and Ilam Park will also feature in the BBC series which will be on our screens in the autumn.

Here's Dovedale for you. And here's Ilam Park, a "beautiful area of open park and woodland", but it also has a grand hall with its church and village, which we don't yet know whether will be used as filming locations as well.

News are coming in fast these days! And don't forget that - apart from the almost complete cast - we also have Dr Carter, Bertha Mason and St John Rivers already!
