Well, we now have a face and a name for Dr Carter: Stephen Tomlin (click on the Television tab if you want to see it with your own eyes). His appearance on the new BBC production of Jane Eyre will be quite short to judge by the novel, but still it's news today. He now joins the almost complete cast (we will post a recap/update soon).

We found the info through the Actors' Group, although his IMDb page hasn't been updated yet (and neither has the IMDb page for Jane Eyre 2006).
