We read on Narniaweb that Georgie Henley (Lucy Pevensie in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe) will be appearing in the upcoming BBC production of Jane Eyre, in the role of the young Jane Eyre.
But http://www.georgie-henley.com/ goes further and says:
It has been confirmed to me personally by Georgie's management and agency that she will indeed be appearing in a new role: The BBC's (UK), "Jane Eyre" at Christmas time.
Christmas time? This is the first hint that we read about the release of this Jane Eyre.
More rumours, or not. Yesterday we read on Brontëana some rumours about the filming of the new BBC production of Jane Eyre in Derbyshire, UK. More specifically the location was reported to be Haddon Hall (that was also used in Zeffirelli's 1996 version).

Maybe these rumours can be taken quite seriously because on the Jane Eyre (2006) imdb webpage we now precisely find Derbyshire in the filming locations section. There are some other pieces of information to be found now there. Two more names of the crew have been added (they join the ones previously posted), besides - as we already knew - crediting Susanna White as director:
Cinematography by Mike Eley
Film Editing by Jason Krasucki
All three of them were previously credited together in the tv-movie "Love again" (by the way Tara Fitzgerald, also rumoured to be part of the cast, was in that production as well).

  1. The same film editor as Bleak House – does that mean we’ll get the same abrupt zooming establishing shots? Thornfield veering towards us through the mist?? Still, sounds interesting!

  2. I haven't seen Bleak House, but I hate zooming. It always reminds me, spaguetti-westerns. Rochester chewing tobacco and with a poncho wouldn't be too much out of place...
