We understand that Mr Darcy from Pride & Prejudice might be considered well-mannered in the classical sense (although we don't know whether Elizabeth Bennet would have agreed on that at first) - but Heathcliff? According to the Times Online:

The technological age has raised etiquette issues that Mr Darcy or Heathcliff never had to face (no texting in company, and always leave the room to answer or make a call).

We are pretty sure that Heathcliff would have had no consideration for that. What's more, he would have been making expensive calls through Hindley's mobile :P

As for Mr Rochester, surely a mobile phone would have saved him the trouble of screaming and crying for Jane...
