The following is what Nancy Barnes from the
Litchfield County Times writes:
In literature, the tutor often plays a cliffhanging role, ranging from the sensitive orphan Jane Eyre, who marries her employer Charles Darnay in "Great Expectations," for whom tutoring in modern languages was an ad hoc, unofficial affair. One simple 'to' has changed it all and has taken poor Jane Eyre from her beloved Mr Rochester just when she thought she had finally got hold of him! Poor, poor thing. We wonder how this Charles Darnay treats her. Doesn't look like a good guy to us since at Ms Barnes command he steps out of
A Tale of Two Cities into Great Expectations.
