According to John Kass's column on the Chicago Tribune, the Brontë Sisters would have loved the Sox - yes, that's right, the baseball team.

After enumerating the reasons why they would be, he concludes that:

I could see Emily Bronte as a Cubs fan supporting the Sox easily now, if she weren't dead, particularly after reading this:"I've dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas: they've gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind."

Emily's colour must be black. And white too.

We know our Brontës but not baseball so we're missing half of the fun and reasoning there. But it's true that there's a Brontë aspect to everything in life!
