Colecciones UH, the book series from Paraguay's
Última Hora newspaper, has launched multiple affordable literary collections targeting readers across different age groups and interests. The initiative offers titles ranging from 40,000 to 80,000 Guaraníes, making both local and international literature more accessible to the general public.
The program includes four distinct series released on different days of the week. Fridays feature contemporary Paraguayan literature with works by authors including Gabriel Casaccia, Elvio Romero, and Mario Halley Mora. Sundays showcase international classics, Mondays present John Grisham thriller novels, and Tuesdays offer illustrated adventure classics priced at 70,000 Guaraníes each.
The "Clásicos Literarios II" collection, released on Sundays for 50,000 Guaraníes per volume, includes several canonical works of world literature. Among the titles available are Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights.
