Orphan Jane Eyre is raised by her cruel aunt, Mrs. Reed, before being sent to an austere charity school. As a diligent student, Jane completes her education before becoming a teacher in her own right. Determined to see more of the world, she then goes to Thornfield Hall, where Jane falls in love with her employer, the mysterious Mr. Rochester.
