August 30, 2019 at 6 PM
Cobbles and Clay, 70 -72,Main Street, Haworth

Join author and journalist Sharon Wright as she launches her new biography of Maria Brontë (née Branwell). Often reduced to a marginal role in the lives of her famous daughters, the story of Maria is told for the first time, tracing her journey from Cornwall to West Yorkshire, and detailing the character of this gifted and enigmatic figure from her childhood, to her unlikely romance with Patrick Brontë, through to her untimely death in 1821. Sharon will be on-hand at this informal event to discuss her research and to sign copies of her book.

A unique after-hours event
August 30th 2019 06:00pm

Following the launch of her new book, join biographer Sharon Wright after hours in the Museum for a very special Parsonage Unwrapped event as she discusses her research into Mrs Brontë and how her work and writing led her to better understand this shadowy but vital figure. Following Sharon's talk, ticketholders will have the opportunity to join her on a walk through the historic rooms that were so briefly Maria Brontë's home.
