To judge from their amount and frequency, book surveys are a much-loved thing. Many Australian newspapers and news sites - such as the Herald Sun - relay today the results of the latest one, carried out among 'more than 15,000 Australian members of bookseller Dymocks' booklover program'. There are three Brontë-related books on the top 101 list:
10. Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
14. Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
82. The Eyre Affair - Jasper Fforde
Two sites discuss movies. The Derby Telegraph has an article on the film The Other Boleyn Girl, and here's its Brontë connection:
The Tudor setting of Haddon Hall was used as a location for the film for 10 days in October 2006. [...]
Haddon Hall is no stranger to the big screen, having appeared in the BBC TV dramatisation of Jane Eyre last year. (Kate Liptrot)
Indeed Haddon Hall also appeared in cinemas - not just TV screens - when it was used as the location for Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre as well.

In the Philipines, Tempo has an article about adaptations.
'Wuthering Heights,’ (Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier) and ‘Sunflower’ (Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni) became ‘Hihintayin Kita sa Langit,’ and ‘Saan Ka Man Naroroon,’ respectively. Both adaptations were topbilled by Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta, then real-life lovers.
GMA Films remade ‘Wuthering Heights’ as ‘The Promise,’ starring Richard Gomez and Angel Locsin – but it didn’t do as well, artistically and financially – as ‘Hihintayin.’ (Ronald Constantino)
The release date of The Secret Adventures of Charlotte Brontë by Laura Joh Rowland is fast approaching. The Times-Picayune includes it in its list of forthcoming publications:
The Secret Adventures of Charlotte Bronte by Laura Joh Rowland (Overlook, April, $24.95) is a new direction for the New Orleans writer known for her mystery series set in 17th century Japan. (Susan Larson)
Now on to the blogosphere. Lights, Camera... History! picks its Top 10 Historical Heroines. Jane Eyre is the only Brontë one. Precisely Jane Eyre - the book - is reviewed both by BDO Blog and Warlord of Mars. Writer and Poetess Francesca Santucci reviews on Lettori.net at length - in Italian - All'Hotel Stancliffe e altri racconti, Maddalena De Leo's translation into Italian of Charlotte Brontë's Stancliffe's Hotel and other tales. The original review was published on Letterariamente.
