Pictureville cinema at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford is currently celebrating Yorkshire Day with a month-long Epic Yorkshire film season that launched on Friday, August 1st, in partnership with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture. The season features free opening weekend screenings, special presentations on the unique Cinerama screen, and the launch of a new illustrated "City of Film" map for self-guided tours of Bradford's cinema venues. The program includes various Yorkshire-connected films throughout August, educational talks through CineSpotlights, and concludes with screenings of The Ceremony (2024) by Bradford-born filmmaker Jack King.

The free A2 foldout map, documenting Bradford’s cinematic past, present, and future, is designed to facilitate self-led tours of the district’s cinemas, community screening venues, and big screen experience locations.
The map will be available from Pictureville and other participating venues from Friday, August 1. (Will Abbott in The Telegraph & Argus)
