Parson's Field
We’ll be taking over the beautiful meadow behind the Brontë Parsonage Museum for a day of fun, free activities for all ages. Become a Junior Vegetable Nannie, create bird and butterfly-inspired kites and artworks, and have a go at our meadow trail and outdoor games.
We also offer drop-in storytelling and songs for little ones. At 11am and 1pm, catch our Family Story sessions by former Storyteller-in-Residence Soph! And be sure to look out for our stilt walkers, Bob the Butterfly and Gerry the Gerbera!
Feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy in Parson’s Field!
All activities are drop-in any time between 10am and 3pm—no need to book.
Junior Vegetable Nanny ‘make & take’ Workshop
The Academy for ‘budding’ Junior Vegetable Nannies is open for enrolment!
In this hands-on workshop, children design and make their own adorable fruit or vegetable baby, out of fresh produce! Choose a fruit or vegetable from the market stall, select a costume, eyes and accessories and create your character, guided by the experienced Nannies on hand! Fill out a birth certificate, receive a special “Junior Vegetable Nanny Award” and take your baby home to care for!
A fun-filled experience that sparks imagination and creativity and fosters a deep love for nature and imaginative play - guaranteed to make you smile! Brought to you by Let’s Grow.
Bob the Butterfly & Gerry the Gerbera
Bob the Butterfly and his perfect match, Gerry the Gerbera, sashay down the cobbled streets and delight the crowds. However, their gardening advice might be a bit hit or miss!
Fantastic Fables
Catch our former Storyteller in Residence, Soph, at 11 am and 1 pm for family story sessions! Suitable for all ages. 30mins. Join us in the centre of the meadow.
