“Do you think because I am poor, obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! I have as much soul as you, and full as much heart!”

Orphaned as a young child, abused by her relatives, oppressed through her school years, Jane Eyre disconnected, poor and plain, seeks employment as a governess.
At Thornfield Hall her journey of self-discovery enters a new chapter… love.
Charlotte Brontë’s classic tale bursts onto the BLT stage in Chris Bush’s witty, fast-paced adaptation which cuts straight to the heart of this much-loved novel.  With just six actors playing over thirty characters this is Jane Eyre as you’ve never seen it before and won’t want to miss!  Underscored with original folk songs, this version well and truly puts Jane in control of telling her own story!

“I am no bird and no net ensnares me.”
