"When writing, one can't always think about what is 'elegant' and 'charming' and 'feminine'," believes Charlotte Brontë. She, Emily and Anne are perhaps the most famous sisters in literary history - three daughters of a clergyman who dare to do the unthinkable: They write! Surprisingly, it's "gentle Anne", the youngest, who authors the first feminist novels in English literature.

We wander with the Brontës through their literature and the rugged landscape of Yorkshire, immerse ourselves in the social life of their time, and follow the traces their poetry leaves in music.
