Emily tells the imagined story of Emily Brontë. Starring Emma Mackey ('Sex Education', 'Death on the Nile') as rebel and misfit Emily, the film explores this Brontë sister finding her voice whilst writing ‘Wuthering Heights’, and the relationships that inspired her on the way.
In this live event, the night before Emily is released in the UK and Ireland, Frances will share what she uncovered about Emily Brontë during the making of her directorial debut. We will delve into her portrayal of the infamous Brontë sister and what new contemporary audiences will discover when they head to the cinema this autumn.
